The Board of NBN Co Limited (nbn) today welcomed the Government’s announcement on Drew Clarke being appointed as a non-executive director, commencing 22 August 2017. With Mr Clarke’s appointment, the nbn board will be comprised of seven non-executive directors plus the CEO.

Chairman, Dr Ziggy Switkowski, welcomed Mr Clarke, saying “Drew is a highly regarded and long standing member of the public service. He has extensive experience across communications and utilities and an intimate understanding of public policy. We look forward to Drew joining the nbn board. He is clearly passionate about the development of infrastructure for Australia's prosperity and is a welcome addition to the team.”

Mr Clarke retired in April as Chief of Staff in the Office of the Prime Minister, following a distinguished career in the public sector that included Secretary of the Department of Communications (2013-15), and of the Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism (2010-13).
