NBN Co Staff Update
NBN Co today announced the appointment of Paul Tyler as its new Chief Customer Officer - Business.
Effective 19 February, Paul will replace John Simon, whose retirement was announced last year.
Mr Tyler, formerly Group Managing Director of Telstra Business, brings 25 years’ experience running ICT businesses across Europe, the Asia Pacific region and Australia/New Zealand. Paul will report to the CEO and will be a member of the executive committee based in Sydney.
NBN Co Chief Executive Officer, Bill Morrow, said: "nbn has benefited greatly from John’s leadership and many contributions over a five year tenure. Over the last seven months, John has built a dedicated business segment team that Paul will now lead to take us to the next level.
“Paul is a high calibre executive with significant experience and a proven track record. I'm delighted to have him as part of our team and look forward to seeing him drive significant momentum in this vital part of our business.”
NBN Co also announced today the impending departure of Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Karina Keisler.
Ms Keisler joined NBN Co in June 2014 with a remit to assemble and lead a highly skilled team responsible for social media, employee communications, external affairs, government relations and corporate social responsibility. She was also tasked with driving diversity and took on the role of NBN Co’s Gender Diversity Ambassador.
Ms Keisler will remain with the company until its full year results are reported in mid-August of this year.
Mr Morrow said: “Karina has led us through countless press briefings, senate hearings, community engagements and employee activities in arguably one of the hardest communications and government relations roles in the country.
“While we are sorry to lose her, Karina leaves us with a strong team who will continue to report on our progress, clarify the facts, and help manage the reputation of the company.”
A search will begin immediately for her replacement.
