About Legal & Regulatory
The L&R business unit (L&R) helps navigate and shape nbn's evolving context to deliver outcomes for the business. We do this by providing expert legal and regulatory solutions, best practice governance and mature risk management in partnership across the company. Our function ensures the business can operate confidently and responsibly while navigating an evolving regulatory and commercial landscape.
What's in it for you?
You will work closely with lawyers, regulatory advisors, risk and compliance specialists, and business stakeholders to help manage and improve the work of the team. Because we work across the business unit, you’ll be exposed to the wide range of functions we encompass. You’ll have the opportunity to be part of initiatives that modernise legal operations, improve efficiency, and drive smarter, more scalable ways of working.
What we look for in a graduate
We’re looking for graduates who are interested in how legal operations, governance, compliance, and policy come together to keep a large organisation running well. Because so much of our work is focused on legal issues, a law degree, or a demonstrated interest in law will be very helpful: but curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for problem‑solving matter more.
We welcome degrees in Law, Business, Commerce, Administration, and Arts – especially people with an interest in policy, governance, or understanding how organisations work.
About Customer and Network Services (CNS)
We work in partnership with our phone and internet providers to deliver a brilliant customer experience, more speed and reliability to new and existing customers. We’re responsible for activating, operating and assuring nbn’s network and services.
What’s in it for you?
You’ll complete three enriching rotations within CNS, each offering unique skill-building opportunities that pave the way for a vibrant and successful career. Rotation teams include Network Operations, Service Delivery Operations, Service Management and Customer Resolution, Improvement and Transformation, or Governance and Retail Service Provider Operations. You’ll also complete one rotation outside of CNS in another nbn team of your choice.
We collaborate with you to place you in areas that fuel your passion and align with your professional growth objectives.
Positions are available in our Melbourne (Docklands) and Sydney (North Sydney) offices.
What we look for in a graduate
We’re seeking graduates passionate about collaboration and innovation. You excel in teamwork and have developed automation skills to enhance and optimise processes. Advanced analytical abilities mean you can interpret data effectively and drive informed decision-making. With a keen interest in network operations and incident management, you’re driven to innovate and improve.
Successful candidates will likely have a degree/major in: Business Management, Network Operations, Network Engineering, Automation, Data Analytics, Data Science, Incident Management, or AI and Machine Learning – but there are no restrictions.

Our program is designed to build the foundations that will help you transition into Associate roles within CNS after completing the program.
About Field Services
Our team ensures the seamless connection, assurance and maintenance of networks and customer services through a combination of internal workforce and delivery partners. We also plan supply requirements and implement strategic programs to ensure safety, quality and efficiency. Plus, we leverage intelligence and analytics to drive continuous improvement and enhance engagement through people-focused initiatives and effective business management.
What’s in it for you?
You’ll gain valuable experience through four targeted rotations within Field Services, each designed to build essential skills. These include opportunities in our Region Operations, Control Tower, Technical Capability, Improve and Transform, and Partnerships teams.
In the end, you’ll have real-life experience in planning, scheduling, dispatching, improving and transforming the business while delivering first-class service to our customers.
We offer permanent, full-time positions based in our Adelaide, Brisbane (Cannon Hill), Hobart, Melbourne (Docklands), Sydney (North Sydney) and Perth offices.
What we look for in a graduate
We’re looking for thinkers prepared to be involved in and perform hands-on work occasionally in the field. You should have a passion for solving complex problems and enjoy seeing your work in action through practical application in a field technology environment.
We’d love to hear from those who can relate to the technical work performed and have experience working directly with customers.
You should have a degree in one of the following disciplines: Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Networks Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering (only if a double degree with Telecommunications or Electrical), or Civil Engineering.

About Finance
Finance is language of business and is critical to the delivery of nbn’s purpose, providing financial insight, strategic support, and digital innovation across the organisation. The Finance team plays a central role in enabling the business to make informed decisions by integrating traditional finance disciplines with emerging capabilities in AI, automation, and data-driven analysis.
What’s in it for you?
You will complete rotations across Finance, Business Enablement, and Technology Functions while gaining exposure to emerging skills in automation, AI enhanced finance, digital tools, and analytics, contributing to forecasting, business analysis, modelling, and strategic planning, all supported by coaching from experienced leaders, with real responsibility from day one, and the opportunity to work within a forward looking finance team that embraces innovation and continuous improvement.
What we look for in a graduate
We’re looking for graduates who are curious, analytical, and excited about the future of finance, particularly how technology, automation, and AI are reshaping the profession. Successful graduates are able to bring together commercial awareness, digital capability, and strong communication skills.
Graduates interested in joining the Finance team typically have an educational background in: Finance, Business, Commerce, Accounting, Data Science and Degrees with a focus on AI, analytics, or technology enabled finance.
About Network
Networks team at nbn are responsible for delivering the nbn network technology innovation roadmap and network solutions, ensuring efficient and cost-effective network deployment.
Our team is the central innovation hub of nbn, shapes the 10-year technical strategic direction, integrating network and product roadmaps, and developing end-to-end architecture and technology sequences. We design solution architectures for wireline access, core networks, network security and network management systems, and deliver network automation programs to boost efficiency and innovation.
What’s in it for you?
Throughout the program, you’ll build real-world technical capability in planning, scheduling, dispatching, and driving business improvement, all while contributing to exceptional customer service. You’ll also apply machine learning and data science techniques to optimise processes, anticipate future trends, and help shape innovative solutions.
What we look for in a graduate
We’re looking for graduates with a strong interest and passion for technology, specifically network engineering. If you’re seeking to build a technical career and have a keen interest in networks, systems architecture and fibre technologies, this is the opportunity for you.
Graduates interested in joining the Networks team typically have an educational background in: Telecommunications, Engineering, Networking, Statistics or Computer Science but there are no restrictions, your passion for network engineering, innovation and technology is what matters.

Designed to build your generalist Human Resources (HR) skills and set you up for a successful career, your adventure begins in the People Services team, where you'll handle employee enquiries and support HR activities across the employee lifecycle.
Following this, you'll experience two six-month rotations in our Business Partnering and Future Workforce team, and Talent, Culture and Capability team.
You'll also choose a rotation in another of our teams that interests you, such as Reward and People Technology, Safety Wellbeing and Sustainability, and Workforce Strategy and Transformation.

About Sales
At nbn, we serve as a wholesale network provider, partnering with phone and internet providers. These phone and internet providers bring our products to market under their own brand, pricing and segmentation strategies. We actively support and engage with them to develop their fixed product strategies.
Our Sales team is dedicated to building industry partnerships and fostering a vibrant, commercially sustainable retail marketplace. We manage direct relationships with phone and internet providers across all streams of activity, including sales, network, marketing, operations and performance.
What's in it for you?
Embark on four dynamic rotations within the Sales function and related areas, each designed to build essential skills for a successful career. Your journey begins with the Account Management team, where you’ll focus on building relationships with a phone and internet providers, enabling their strategy using nbn products and resources, including network access, product launches and insights. Subsequent rotations will immerse you in Customer Insights, the Products and Pricing team, and Digital Marketing, providing you with a diverse skillset to excel in the vibrant Sales environment.

About Strategy
The Strategy team sits at the centre of the organisation, partnering directly with senior leaders to shape long‑term direction and help leaders and teams solve complex commercial problems. Our role is to help leaders and teams across the organisation make better decisions by bringing clarity, structure, insight and constructive challenge to complex questions.
What's in it for you?
As a Strategy Graduate, you won’t be observing from the sidelines. You’ll be involved early in real business problems, exposed to senior stakeholders, and expected to contribute meaningfully from day one.
