NBN Co welcomes approval of Telstra's Structural Separation Undertaking

NBN Co CEO Mike Quigley said today: "NBN Co welcomes the announcement today that the ACCC has accepted Telstra's Structural Separation Undertaking.

"This removes the final major obstacle in the way of the large-scale rollout of the National Broadband Network."

"We will shortly announce plans to escalate the essential upgrade of the nation's telecommunications infrastructure."

"The Definitive Agreement unlocks the full potential of the deal and gives us the certainty we need to finalise our three year plan and continue with confidence the ongoing acceleration of this monumental project."

"With service providers responsible for over 95% of the retail market signed as NBN customers, with major supply and construction contracts in place, and now the Telstra agreement close to execution, we are looking forward to ramping up the rollout which is designed to provide high-speed broadband access to all Australians."
