Triabunna techies outsmarting the grandkids

Bill and Claire Sullivan are one step ahead of their kids and grandkids since connecting to the nbn™ network.

The Sullivans have embraced all things techy to be able to connect with their kids and grandkids through email, skype and social media.

Bill and Claire have a big family with the kids and grandkids regularly popping over for unexpected visits.

The biggest benefit that has come from fast speeds is the fact that everyone can hook up to multiple devices at the same time when they visit* – Claire says the kids are now coming over more often!

The grandkids love coming over because they now get to play games, update Facebook and research the internet to try and outsmart their tech savvy grandparents!

Even when the kids aren’t visiting, the Sullivans never have to miss a milestone with Skype.

They got the surprise of a lifetime when their son was on a holidays in Singapore and announced his engagement on a Skype call!

As the Secretary of the Triabunna Fire Brigade, Bill and Claire are also busy in their local community and are using their technology skills to stay connected.

The Sullivans are on call 24/7 and need to be able to constantly check emails and the latest fire warnings to be able to act appropriately.

These social savvy techies also operate the fire brigade Facebook page from their home to keep the community updated with important information.

There is a new wave of tech-savvy grandparents emerging, according to our recent research report and the Sullivans are a great example of this increasingly connected demographic.

Claire says it doesn’t matter what your age is, the internet is for everyone!

*Your experience including the speeds actually achieved over the nbn™ network depends on the technology over which services are delivered to your premises and some factors outside our control like your equipment quality, software, broadband plans and how your service provider designs its network.
