A step-by-step guide to connecting your business

More and more businesses are already enjoying the benefits of access to fast and reliable broadband and as the nbn™ broadband access network rolls out across the country, your business can enjoy the benefits too.

As we upgrade to the nbn™ broadband access network, most landline and internet services are being disconnected. To help minimise disruption to your business, it’s important that you switch your affected landline phone and internet services to an nbn™ powered plan before they are turned off.

If your business isn’t yet connected, follow this step-by-step guide to keep informed and get prepared to make the switch when the nbn™ broadband access network is made available in your area. That way, you and your business will always be one step ahead.

1. Check your address

To find out if the nbn™ broadband access network is available at your business, check your address.

If it's not yet available at your address, register for email updates and we will let you know when your business is ready to connect. Once you have confirmation that you can switch, you will have 18 months to move your services to an nbn™ powered plan, before the existing network is switched off.*

2. Use the checklist and tools to prepare

Use the online checklist and other supporting tools and information to prepare your business for the nbn™ broadband access network.

3. Contact a phone or internet provider

You won’t be connected to an nbn™ powered plan automatically, so contact your preferred internet service provider to discuss your requirements and select the most appropriate plan for your business needs.

It’s a good idea to switch to an nbn™ powered plan well before your disconnection date to allow time for your order to be processed, and for installation, if applicable.
