The NBN is an exciting, fast-paced and nation-building project. At NBN Co, we’re also building a team that will ensure that we meet our corporate objectives and help to deliver high speed broadband right across Australia. To do that, we need to find the right people, with the right skills.
Step 1: Register your details and resume for job updates
Registering will allow you to create your own candidate profile, securely store your private information, resume, job search criteria and more. You can also set up an email alert that will notify you when a job is posted that matches your specific criteria. We will post details about specific roles on the NBN Co website and encourage you to apply for any relevant job openings.
Please set aside some time to fill in your application, but note you can save and come back to it later should you not complete and submit it the first time.
Step 2: Apply for jobs at NBN Co
To apply for any job at NBN Co, you will need to register with NBN Co, as outlined above. Please note that all job applications must be received online, either directly through NBN Co’s jobs site or via an external job advertising site. Unless you request otherwise, your information will be maintained in our recruiting database for future openings at NBN Co.
Please note: once you apply online for a role, you do not need to additionally email us your resume and cover letter. Application review timeframes vary from role to role, however, we generally allow about 2 weeks for recruiters to review applications.
What happens after you apply?
After we receive your application, our recruitment professionals will review your details, then compare your skills and experience with the requirements of the position. We will also consider you for other available positions in the company.
Should you be shortlisted for a position, our recruitment team will contact you for an initial telephone interview. Be prepared for this, as this is the first stage, prior to a face to face interview with the hiring manager. The recruiter will assess your cultural, technical and motivational fit to NBN Co.
Pre-employment checks are mandatory for all shortlisted applicants. You will need to provide contact details for appropriate referees including recent, direct supervisors.
Additionally, you will be required to complete drug and alcohol testing, employment verification checks as well as security and background checking. This will include producing certified copies of original documentation satisfying the 100 points of Identification requirements.
There are further checks required for certain positions and they will be detailed in the job description.
