From breathtaking mountain walks to picturesque sunsets and a thriving community, Cabarlah is a stunning town located in country Queensland.

Once a farming haven, the town has become a home to the Australian Defence Force, Borneo Barracks. The Barracks were established as a World War 1 training area, but now are used as a warfare operator training unit.

The Cabarlah markets are a great excuse to get outdoors, held on the last Sunday of each month. Bring your shopping bags and expect to browse through arts, craft, furniture and plants while nibbing on delicious bites.

An enjoyable Sunday morning outing with the family.

Following the markets, locals can discover Australia’s largest display of German grandfather and cuckoo clocks at the the Black Forest Hill Cuckoo Clock Centre. The clocks are imported from The Black Forest Region of Germany every year. Safe to stay, locals will always know the time.

The town is tucked between Toowoomba and Crows Nest with breathtaking views are showcase the true Australian outback. A short drive from Cabarlah is Crows Nest National Park where residents are in for a treat with the likes of hiking, walking tracks and peaceful waterfalls.

On hot summer days, the Kauyoo and Bottlebrush Pools are great places to cool off after wandering the walking track and the Crows Nest Falls lookout, a 20 metre drop off the cliff. The national park is an ideal place for adventure and a great way to explore the outdoors.
