Today: SA’s McLaren Vale starts connecting to NBN
Posted on Tuesday 05 February 2013 by Chris Niesche
McLaren Vale, South of Adelaide, is the latest area NBN Co has begun connecting to the National Broadband Network with fibre optic cable.
The distribution fibre was hauled today on the corner of Kangarilla Road and Ingoldby Road in McLaren Flat to connect the McLaren Vale exchange to the local area and ultimately to 2034 local homes and businesses in the wine growing district.
For information on how the rollout is progressing in your area, please refer to the NBN Co rollout map.

When we talk about speeds delivered over the National Broadband Network, we are referring to the wholesale speed to telephone and internet service providers. The speed you can achieve, and services you can use, on your individual connection will depend on many factors including the services you subscribe to, the software and communication protocols you use, quality of your equipment and connection to your home/business, the broadband plans offered by your telephone or internet provider and how it designs its network to cater for multiple users.
